Thurgood Marshall motivated people just by being a lawyer on this case. He gave people the hope to say we did it. It also gave the people something to look back on it and smile.

The other lawyers that helped Thurgood Marshall George E.C. Hayes, Thurgood Marshall, and James Nabrit. They helped thurgood Marshall win the case brown v board of education. It happened in 1954 in surpreme court. Thurgood Marshall has a lot of
talents but the one talent that he did use to win this case is his ability to use the constitution. He used it so well when he presented his case. The case brown v board of education had a big effect on their time because schools were still segregated and segregation was still going on in some of the states in the south. It’s ovious to see the long term change that happened because of the outcome of the case is that thurgood Marshall had won that case schools would have still been segregated and whites and blacks would not be able to get the same education.
Thurgood Marshall connects to the theme “The indiviual in history: actions and legacies” because if it was not for him winning that case blacks and whites still would not be able to go to the same school. Also blacks and whites would be treated equally if he had not won that case. We should care about thurgood Marshall because if it was not for him our lifes would be totally different and we prabally would not be able to do some of the things we do today. Thurgood Marshall is a very famous lawyer and he is a household name when it comes to cival rights. Marshall was also known for becoming the first black man to become a judge on the supreme court board. He also was the first black man to present a case in front of the surpreme court.
