Poem

I am a scared high school student
I wonder what college I will attend or if I will even go to college
I hear that it cost alot to get into college
I want to become somebody in life
I am a scared high school student

I pretend that I am not scared
I feel worried about how my future will be
I touch my dreams everyday but I am scared they will slip away
I worry that I won't make it to college
I am a scared high school student

I understand that I can make it
I say that I can make it no matter what
I dream that I will become a lawyer
I try to do my best in school
I hope I can acheive my dreams
I am a scared high school student

Poem

His love is like winter
When it comes around im sad
It is very bitter
but as soon as it goes away I'm glad
People say that I should leave him alone
Sometimes I feel so low
But he completes my soul
but he makes me glow
I love him so
I want to find another
but sometimes I wish he would go
but I have to be undercover
I have to let him go
cause he is messin up my flow

Poem

Bang Bang I woke up it just another shooting around the way. I see killing everyday its crazy man people crying and people dying. Now the days are flyin cause the one you love is now dyin. On life support cause he got a shot in the head but he is almost dead.

the poem

"nevermind what haters say know them till they fade away" this song is climbing the billboard charts. This song is really just a poem. I know this because it has the three major things it sounds good,it brings a clear image to your mind and it helps you to see things or think about things in a new way.

this song has one of the major things which is sound it has rhyme. for example in the song it says "you're gonna be a shining star with fancy clothes and fancy car -ar and then you're gonna go far."another example is "where you from who you know what you make and what kind of car you in. seems as though you lost sight of what's important with the postive. another major thing it has is repetition. most of the songs repeats it's self. for example one thing that repeats in the song is" live your life". another example is" just living my life". sound makes this song sound much better with out it this song wouldn't be a poem.

imagery is another way to get people to see what you see and TI and Rihanna has it. they use visual imagery. for example it says "immaculately polished with the sprit of a hustler the swagger of a college kid" TI is trying to get his fans to imagine his style. he also uses sound imagery. in the song it says " the hootin and the hollerin back and forth with the arguing.this is something you can hear.this makes the song even more into a poem.

the last thing this song has is ti changes your mind on things. for example TI critizies the way the rap game is right now. he changes my mind on who i think I'm listening to is it really hip hop. another example is when he says just keep getting your money but watch what you do with it. this last thing makes this song a complete poem

this song has everything to be a poem it has sound, it brings a clear picture to your mind, it also changes your mind on things.

Thurgood Marshall motivated people just by being a lawyer on this case. He gave people the hope to say we did it. It also gave the people something to look back on it and smile.

The other lawyers that helped Thurgood Marshall George E.C. Hayes, Thurgood Marshall, and James Nabrit. They helped thurgood Marshall win the case brown v board of education. It happened in 1954 in surpreme court. Thurgood Marshall has a lot of
talents but the one talent that he did use to win this case is his ability to use the constitution. He used it so well when he presented his case. The case brown v board of education had a big effect on their time because schools were still segregated and segregation was still going on in some of the states in the south. It’s ovious to see the long term change that happened because of the outcome of the case is that thurgood Marshall had won that case schools would have still been segregated and whites and blacks would not be able to get the same education.
Thurgood Marshall connects to the theme “The indiviual in history: actions and legacies” because if it was not for him winning that case blacks and whites still would not be able to go to the same school. Also blacks and whites would be treated equally if he had not won that case. We should care about thurgood Marshall because if it was not for him our lifes would be totally different and we prabally would not be able to do some of the things we do today. Thurgood Marshall is a very famous lawyer and he is a household name when it comes to cival rights. Marshall was also known for becoming the first black man to become a judge on the supreme court board. He also was the first black man to present a case in front of the surpreme court.

nhd paper

What is the quality of your intent? This is one of thurgood marshal s famous quotes. This quote shook up some people just because they didn't understand what it meant. Marshall was one of the most acknowledge lawyers. He were known for many cases but his most famous one was well known case brown v board of education which ended segregation in schools. Thrgood Marshall was the first black person to be a judge on the Supreme Court board. He was a good lawyer who won most of his cases. Thurgood Marshal grew up in Baltimore. He lived with his mother Norma Arica Marshall and his father William Canfield Marshall. Both of his parents were hard working. They both accomplished something important his mother became the first black women to graduate from Columbia Teacher s college in new york and his father was the first black person to serve on a grand jury. He attended Douglas high school after he graduated from there he attended Lincoln university. after he graduated from there with honors he attented Texas Southern university of law.

Thurgood Marshall help end an important issue that was going on which was segergation. Back in that time black and white students were not allowed to go to the same schools. Thurgood Marshall was one of the lawyers on this case and he help win the case. Thurgood Marshall dealt with segregation his whole life. His mother taught in a all black school were she earned way less than a white teacher. So when they asked him to be on this case he thought it was time to make everything equal in the school system. In the case brown v education Thurgood Marshall argued that school segregation was a violation of individual rights under the 14th amendment. He also argued that the only justification coming from keeping the segregated was to keep the people who were slaves as near that stage as possible. during this time thurgood Marshall motivated people just by doing this case. Just for giving African Americans an opportunity to look forward to when they look back and say we did it. Thurgood Marshall was not the only person working on this case he had help by two other people. They are

animal farm essay

Animal farm is a really good book that uses irony, exaggeration, symbolism to show reader's the big picture about the russian revolution. Some backround is that it takes place induring the rusian revolution in 1917.
George Orwell uses exaggeration, irony, symbolism to make Animal Farm effective satire of dictators and the people who follow them.

there is a lot of irony in the story Animal Farm. one example is when boxer got sent to the slaughter house. in the story we thought that boxer was going to be able to retire but instead he got sent to the slaughter house." some of the animals had noticed that the van which had took boxer away was marked horse slaughter." another example of irony was when we thought that snowball was going to when the debate with napoleon but he lost. everybody thought that just because snowball was a good talker but napoleon had another plan up his sleeves. for example in the story napoleon all along were training the dogs to be vicous.one last thing is that the pigs were supposed to be against humans. for example they started to sllep in beds and they started drinking acohal.irony in this story shows that everything can happen and you cant always have to trust your leaders to do what you expect of them.
in this story they use sybolism in a lot of diffrent ways. in the story they used the song the "Beast of England." like americans sing the pledge. it is a symbol of there dreams. in the song it said "soon or late the dayis coming tyraynt man shall be over overthorwn." this was one of there dreams where they want to takeover and no humans will have control.another example of sybolism is the windmill. the windmill was a symbol of hard work. for example when the windmill got ruined the animals had to work twice has hard. in the story it says "this very morning we begin rebuilding the windmill we will build all through the winter ,rain or shine." the author use smybolism to show people how they use things to symbolize things. one of the other things that George Orwell uses to show the reader's the big picture is exaggeration. one of the way he uses it is when the animals think that napoleon lied and said snowball ruined the windmill. in the story the windmill got deystroyed by a storm but napoleon made the story bigger than it already was. another example is when squelar went around telling the animals that the windmill was napeloen's idea all along but he lied in the beginning so he could get snowball out of there. the story said that "he seemed to oppose the windmill, simoliy as a manoeurve to get rid of snowball who was a dangerous character and a bad influence."
George Orwell uses symbolism and exaggeration to show how dictators use these things to take over a country.symbolism is used to show how people cherish thins that mean something or reminds them something about something else. exaggeration shows how dictators bend the truth so that they can get there way. irony shows usshows us that e should not trust our leaders because they can change the way we think. the things that are in this essay matter because people use irony, symbolism, exaggeration to persaue people to do what they want or when they try to twist a story. this has a lot of connections to the real world because a lot of polotics use these methods to persuae people to vote for them. some lessons that need to be learned his don't believe everything your leader says.

Animal farm essay 2

in animal farm after old major died the pigs became the new leaders. i think that it is the animals fault that the pigs became so powerful. my first reason is because when things stated to change the animals didn't even question the pigs.for example when napelon changed the sunday speech he changed that the only thing they due on sundays is that they sing the beast of england.after that napeloan became more powerful. another example is when they napelon said that he would start doing trade with money. the animals never said a word . in the story it says that a few animals felt faintly doubtful.one last example is when they started making liquor. in the animal farm it states the news sooned leaked out that every pig was reciving a pint of beer daily. when the animals heard that news they should have spoke up for thete selfs it is more of them than there is of the pigs they could have rn napeolen and sqealar out. the pigs rise to power was the blame of the animals becaues they never spoke up for there self

The main two conflicts in the story is that a lawyer that is defending his friend. His friend is on trail for killing a women by having rough sex with her. the other main conflict is that the lawyer's girlfriend has to have some fibroids and she might not be able to concieve children. this story is written in omniscient.

my rating for this book is a 10. I gave this book a 10 because it has a lot of suspense in it. also because it give me a description so good that i can see the scene unfold in my head.

The most dangerous game paragraph

English 1
Ms. Melville
I think Rainsford changed by the end of the story. One of the reason is because in the beginning of the story Rainsford didn't care how animals feel, but then in the middle of the story it said Rainsford knew how an animal at bay feels. So this indicates that he does not think of animals the way he did before. Another reason is that he starts to think about and not just his self. In the beginning he was talking about the hunters and huntees, but then when General Zaroff says he hunts people Rainsford said that he might have hunted people but that doesn't make him a a coldblooded murder. This shows me that Rainsford is thinking differently. In conclusion I think that Rainsford is a very changed man.

election issues

I want Barack Obama to be the next president. i say that because he believes in the same thing i do on some of the issues.the one issues that he got me on is education. the problem is that schools do not have enough funding to provide the right education that the kids need. they also do not have enough money for supplies that students and teachers need.

Obama thinks that we need more funding for school. he also believes that everybody should have a chance to go to college so he wants to start a thing called tax credit. This is were the first 4,000 dollars of college is free and it will cover two thirds of the tuition. he will also make community college free. One last thing is that he is making sure that the teacher are ready to teach the students.

On the other hand John Mccain says that the parents should move their kids out of failing schools. I do not think this is right there should not even be any failing schools the goverment should be trying to help the kids. some school does not even have chalk for them to right on the bored this is crazy.

i believe that school should have everything that students need to learn and teachers need to teach. there should not be any excuses why schools do not have these things. the goverment needs more funding for schools. that's why i choose Obama because he is about make it easier for students to go school.
