thurgood marsall was born in baltimore on july 2,1908.he was named after his greatgrandfather.his mother was a school teacher  his  mom was the first black women to graduate from columbia teachers college in new york.his father was a railroad porter and the head steward at an all white club. he went to school in baltimoore he graduated fromhigh school and attended lincoln university. he met and married viven burey on september 4,1929. he was a cival rights lawyer
