Animal farm is a really good book that uses irony, exaggeration, symbolism to show reader's the big picture about the russian revolution. Some backround is that it takes place induring the rusian revolution in 1917.
George Orwell uses exaggeration, irony, symbolism to make Animal Farm effective satire of dictators and the people who follow them.
there is a lot of irony in the story Animal Farm. one example is when boxer got sent to the slaughter house. in the story we thought that boxer was going to be able to retire but instead he got sent to the slaughter house." some of the animals had noticed that the van which had took boxer away was marked horse slaughter." another example of irony was when we thought that snowball was going to when the debate with napoleon but he lost. everybody thought that just because snowball was a good talker but napoleon had another plan up his sleeves. for example in the story napoleon all along were training the dogs to be vicous.one last thing is that the pigs were supposed to be against humans. for example they started to sllep in beds and they started drinking acohal.irony in this story shows that everything can happen and you cant always have to trust your leaders to do what you expect of them.
in this story they use sybolism in a lot of diffrent ways. in the story they used the song the "Beast of England." like americans sing the pledge. it is a symbol of there dreams. in the song it said "soon or late the dayis coming tyraynt man shall be over overthorwn." this was one of there dreams where they want to takeover and no humans will have control.another example of sybolism is the windmill. the windmill was a symbol of hard work. for example when the windmill got ruined the animals had to work twice has hard. in the story it says "this very morning we begin rebuilding the windmill we will build all through the winter ,rain or shine." the author use smybolism to show people how they use things to symbolize things. one of the other things that George Orwell uses to show the reader's the big picture is exaggeration. one of the way he uses it is when the animals think that napoleon lied and said snowball ruined the windmill. in the story the windmill got deystroyed by a storm but napoleon made the story bigger than it already was. another example is when squelar went around telling the animals that the windmill was napeloen's idea all along but he lied in the beginning so he could get snowball out of there. the story said that "he seemed to oppose the windmill, simoliy as a manoeurve to get rid of snowball who was a dangerous character and a bad influence."
George Orwell uses symbolism and exaggeration to show how dictators use these things to take over a country.symbolism is used to show how people cherish thins that mean something or reminds them something about something else. exaggeration shows how dictators bend the truth so that they can get there way. irony shows usshows us that e should not trust our leaders because they can change the way we think. the things that are in this essay matter because people use irony, symbolism, exaggeration to persaue people to do what they want or when they try to twist a story. this has a lot of connections to the real world because a lot of polotics use these methods to persuae people to vote for them. some lessons that need to be learned his don't believe everything your leader says.

Animal farm essay 2
in animal farm after old major died the pigs became the new leaders. i think that it is the animals fault that the pigs became so powerful. my first reason is because when things stated to change the animals didn't even question the pigs.for example when napelon changed the sunday speech he changed that the only thing they due on sundays is that they sing the beast of england.after that napeloan became more powerful. another example is when they napelon said that he would start doing trade with money. the animals never said a word . in the story it says that a few animals felt faintly doubtful.one last example is when they started making liquor. in the animal farm it states the news sooned leaked out that every pig was reciving a pint of beer daily. when the animals heard that news they should have spoke up for thete selfs it is more of them than there is of the pigs they could have rn napeolen and sqealar out. the pigs rise to power was the blame of the animals becaues they never spoke up for there self

I think Rainsford changed by the end of the story. One of the reason is because in the beginning of the story Rainsford didn't care how animals feel, but then in the middle of the story it said Rainsford knew how an animal at bay feels. So this indicates that he does not think of animals the way he did before. Another reason is that he starts to think about and not just his self. In the beginning he was talking about the hunters and huntees, but then when General Zaroff says he hunts people Rainsford said that he might have hunted people but that doesn't make him a a coldblooded murder. This shows me that Rainsford is thinking differently. In conclusion I think that Rainsford is a very changed man.
